Backend Asset Filters

This article will show you how to use the asset filter to search through assets in the backend of your brand space.

Updated over a week ago

We know that you might have many assets in your libraries and projects, and keeping track of names and locations can be difficult. This is why an asset filter is integrated – saving you time and allowing you to find assets in different ways.

The asset filter can be found on the top of your libraries and projects in the backend of your brand space.

For both Projects and Libraries, the filter options are different.

Asset Filters in Libraries

The asset filter for the Media Library, Logo, Icon, Document Libraries has a comprehensive sorting system that allows you to search by keywords:

In addition to keywords, you can also search by manually created tags and AI-based auto-tags:

Select Metadata

In case you want to search based on Metadata values, it can also be done using the Metadata tab in the filter search. The license filter can also be found under Metadata. This applies to the selected metadata values.

Or, you search for the status of an asset and the user that has uploaded an asset:

You also have the option to search by assets that have download protection. This will allow asset managers to have a good overview of the assets that have or have not been protected if this has been done individually, rather than library or folder level.

Folders and Subfolders Search

Once you have written a keyword or selected a tag, the filter will allow you to search by location. Choose if you’d like to browse the current folder, current sub-folders, or the entire project.

Project Filter Search

In the Projects tab, you will find that the filter is different from the Libraries. In this one, you have two separate tabs, one for Metadata and one for the Creators.

Metadata Tab

To have Metadata options in the filter, you need to add Custom Metadata fields in your Settings on the Power Bar > Metadata.

Created By Tab

The tab will provide options as suggestions of the users that have created projects, and you also have the opportunity to search for someone specifically.

The asset filter is a fast and easy way to search for your assets, so make sure to check it out. If you have any questions, don't be shy. We’re happy to help.
