With the Unsplash integration, you’re able to enrich your Media Library with assets Unsplash provides. This way, you don’t have to download and upload assets from third parties to Frontify but integrate them into your libraries right away.
Activating Unsplash
To activate the integration, you have to enter the backend of your Media Library. Provided that you possess editing rights, you can click on the ‘Settings’ cogwheel in your Power Bar and select ‘Integrations’ to find a new section called ‘Stock Image Integration’ there. You will find the Unsplash integration there. By toggling the button, you can activate it.
Searching for Unsplash Images
Once you’ve activated the integration, you’re able to search for assets that suit particular search terms in the consumer view of the Media Library. Note that as a viewer, you’re only able to browse through stock images of a certain provider but can’t add assets to the existing libraries within Frontify. Adding assets is only possible if you have editing rights.
You can integrate Unsplash into your Media Library by searching for a non-existent keyword in your library. In this case, a notification will appear on your empty screen, giving you the possibility to browse through the assets from Unsplash.
Locate the asset you like, and click on it to enter the asset viewer. There, you can find a new button called ‘Add to Media Library.’
If you’re adding the same stock asset to your Media Library for a second time, a pop-up will give you a hint about it, asking you whether or not you want to include it again. Either agree or disagree to proceed.
