Learn how to sync your Frontify instance with your Canva designs

Updated over a week ago

Let’s find out how to set the integration between Frontify and Canva; it’s simple and straightforward, just a few simple steps.

  • Within Canva, navigate to Apps, search for Frontify, and select the Frontify icon.

  • Select to use it in an existing or new design and choose the design type. If you decide on the ‘existing design,’ you can import Frontify images in a design already created or transfer Canva designs into your Frontify libraries or projects. Instead, if you pick the ‘new design,’ you can use the abovementioned capabilities to create a design from scratch.

  • Connect your Frontify account by clicking on the "Open" button at the screen's bottom-left. A pop-up window will appear; write your domain in the designated space. Please use the domain URL stripped down of any specific page references to a Frontify cover page, Library, etc. Once done, submit it and select "Allow Access" in the window that appears.

Once it loads, the two instances are connected. You will see a list of brands on the left-hand side of the screen (in case you have multiple brands).

Now, you can start importing your Frontify assets into Canva or transfer Canva designs to your libraries or projects. To import Frontify assets into Canva, the user needs to be added as a Viewer to the Frontify libraries and projects that need to be accessed in Canva. If you need the other flow - transfer Canva designs to your Frontify libraries or projects, the user needs to have an Editor role within that library or that project.
