Switching Digital Asset Management platforms can be a stressful process. Frontify is always on hand to guide you through the steps, and we have done this many times before.
So, how can you move your carefully curated brand assets, such as images or videos, which are stored in your old solution, into your brand-new Frontify DAM? An asset migration is the answer and there are a few different ways of arriving at this objective.
There are three types of migrations:
Automatic migrations: Automatically migrate existing assets and respective metadata (if applicable). We have automatic migrations for Bynder, Dropbox, and Google Drive. This method requires the least amount of effort from your side, however the trade-off is that you can’t easily customize it. What you have now is what you will have in Frontify.
Regular migration: It’s a more lengthy process than the automatic one because you must complete a metadata sheet and upload assets into an Amazon S3 bucket. The advantage is that you can easily clean up your assets and enrich your metadata.
Fully manual migration: If you have few assets or you have a few thousand assets, but very little metadata, then this option may be for you. Simply uploading your assets via the browser into Frontify is a simple and effective choice.
