Learn how to sync your Getty Images into your Frontify libraries

Updated over 11 months ago

The Getty Images integration allows you to automatically sync purchased/licensed Getty Images assets to Frontify. From your Frontify libraries, you can retrieve all your Getty Images pictures and videos to build your on-brand marketing content.

Requirements:

Part 1. Getty Images setup guide

Please follow these steps to connect Frontify and Getty Images. This integration will bridge the two platforms and let users pull assets (images and videos) from your Getty Images account and utilize them in Frontify.

These steps only involve your Getty Images Account Manager.

  1. You need to send an email to your Getty Account Manager and copy enterprisesolutionssupport@gettyimages.com and say that you want to set up a new Getty➝Frontify integration

  2. Ask your Getty Images Account Manager to ensure that your account has the right to store and share Getty Images licensed content with other users.

  3. Ask your Getty Images Account Manager to ensure your Getty Images subscription is set not to count duplicate downloads. This will ensure that your re-downloads are not counted as new purchases, so you will not be billed twice.

  4. Ask your Getty Images Account Manager to set up a new Getty Images sync account.

    1. The new sync account will avoid potential issues if the person who owns the account is absent for some reason or leaves the company. Getty Images will also specifically configure the sync with the correct permissions set.

    2. Then ask Getty Images to give "access to company downloads" to the sync account. This access will ensure that this account can download all content licensed by all users in your organization.

    3. Make a note of the username and password for this sync account - you will need to share this with your Frontify CSM.

  5. Ask Getty Images for your current PA (Premium Access) agreement start date. This will be the start date from which we will sync assets. Historical content from previous PA agreements can be retrieved, but this will need a special configuration from Getty Images. If this is required - please request this as well.

  6. Ask your Getty Images Account Manager if Frontify can sync assets from any PA Agreement (contract) or if only select PA Agreements should be included in the sync. If only some / one PA Agreement(s) is allowed to be used in the sync - please ask for ID(s) for these agreement(s).

  7. Once the Getty Images sync account configuration is complete, please contact your Frontify CSM for the following steps.

Part 2. Frontify setup guide

When you complete the previous steps with your Getty Images Account Manager, please reach your Frontify CSM to terminate the process, following these steps:

  1. Once you have your Getty Image sync user account, you can share the credentials with your Frontify CSM.

  2. Along with your Frontify CSM, define where the images and videos need to be synced. You can decide between:

    1. Media Libraries (or any folder inside a library)

    2. Separate or same Frontify libraries/folder

  3. Define the Getty Images' primary language for assets' basic metadata (Title and Description). Getty Images offers the following options: English UK, English US, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese Brasilian, Portuguese, Swedish, and Turkish.

  4. Define the Getty Images' primary language for assets' tags (multiple languages are possible). You can decide between English UK, English US, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese Brasilian, Portuguese, Swedish, and Turkish.

Once the above steps are defined, the Frontify Technical Solutions team will set up the sync, do the initial test run, and validate the results.

I hope you find this guide helpful. For further information, please contact your CSM.
