What is the Brand Timeline Block?

The Brand Timeline Block is a visual timeline tool you can add to your Frontify Guidelines. It lets you showcase company milestones, product launches, achievements — or plan upcoming campaigns in a clear, chronological format.

Why should I use it?

The block helps you:

  • Tell your brand story visually

  • Plan and share future campaigns and marketing milestones

  • Align internal teams with a central, easy-to-understand timeline

  • Highlight growth, history, and recognition in one place

Can I use it for campaign planning?

Yes! That’s one of the most powerful use cases. You can lay out:

  • Upcoming campaign timelines

  • Key marketing milestones

  • Product launch schedules

This gives your marketing and cross-functional teams visibility into what’s coming next.

What else can I use it for?

Some common use cases include:

  • Company history (e.g., founding year, rebrands, expansions)

  • Product/feature launches (e.g., release cycles, updates)

  • Business achievements (e.g., awards, partnerships)

  • Team planning (e.g., internal milestones, project phases)

How do I add the Brand Timeline Block to my Guidelines?

  1. Open your Frontify Guidelines in edit mode

  2. Click the “+” button to add a new block

  3. Search for “Brand Timeline” or find it via the Frontify Marketplace

  4. Add your events with dates and descriptions

  5. Drag to reorder or style as needed

Can I add future dates to the timeline?

Yes, the block supports both past and future events, making it ideal for campaign planning or internal roadmaps.

Who can see or edit the timeline?

Anyone with editor access to your guidelines can update the timeline. Viewers with read-only access can see it but won’t be able to make changes.

Where can I find the block?

The Brand Timeline Block is available in the Frontify Marketplace and is pre-installed on some platforms (like product.frontify.com)

Why was this block created?

The block was built through our partner certification process. A partner team conceptualized it to help brands share key moments in a simple, visual format.
