How to change a Frontify Subdomain

Change your Frontify subdomain

Updated over a week ago

You can switch a generic domain to a Frontify custom sub-domain, e.g. yourbrand.frontify.com.

Updating Domain Mappings

It is possible to update the domain mapping for your brand. You can change the brand hub a custom domain points to by adjusting the mapping in Domain Management. For example, you may redirect the domain to a different hub ID or path.

Note: If you have an Enterprise plan you can only edit your Frontify sub-domain by contacting your Customer Success Manager and requesting the full setup.

Customize Frontify subdomain on the Account level:

As an Account Admin, navigate to the Account Settings: To view your current Frontify URL, open your brand and the URL will be visible in your browser's navigation bar. This URL indicates the domain currently linked to your Frontify account.

Let’s use "monobrand.frontify.com" as an example: Under "Domain Configuration" type in the domain URL of your desire, e.g. "your-domain.frontify.com". Note that if the brand name already exists within your account, additional numbers may automatically be appended to differentiate it in the URL.

If the domain is already in use by someone else, you will get a notification and will need to alter your domain choice.

Customize Frontify subdomain on the Guidelines level:

Alternatively, you can set up a subdomain for specific Guidelines. This domain will then be pointing to these Guidelines only.

To do that, you need to be a Guidelines owner and access Guidelines Settings in the Power Bar.

In General Settings, you can type in the subdomain in the same way as described above.

SSL certificate?

All custom sub-domains like your-domain.frontify.com are running with SSL. You don't have to do anything.

Custom Domain vs Custom sub-domain

To use your own domain, check Setup custom subdomain access.

Custom domain configuration is exclusive to Enterprise plans. Users on these plans may need support from their IT department or Frontify’s Support Team to set up the domain mapping.
