Asset Analytics – Via library

Learn more about how your assets are performing across your brand platform.

Updated this week

Asset Analytics is visible for editors and account admins.

What is Asset Analytics?

The Asset Analytics view offers detailed insights into how specific assets are being used across your Frontify environment.

Whether an asset is stored in a Library, Project, or within Brand Guidelines, you can access its usage data by opening the asset and clicking the Analytics icon on the Power Bar.

What’s new?

We’ve refreshed the internal insights experience to bring you a cleaner, more informative analytics view. Here’s what’s improved:

  • Helpful tooltips: Hover over the metrics to understand exactly how views and downloads are counted.

  • Categorization by location: You’ll now see usage grouped by where the asset lives: Library, Project, or Guideline.

  • Guideline searches now displayed: See how often an asset appears in guideline search results.

  • Share link analytics: Data on share link views and downloads.

Tracked Insights in Asset Analytics

Here’s a breakdown of what data is available in the Analytics view:

Asset views and downloads

  • See how many times an asset has been viewed or downloaded within Frontify.

  • Usage is categorized by where the asset appears. Library, Project, or Guideline (including specific guideline pages).

  • If you have the right permissions, you’ll see exactly where the asset is located with clickable links for quick access.

External Asset Usage

  • Displays how often the asset is used externally (e.g., on a public website).

  • External usage is shown as # of requests, a combined total of views and downloads, due to technical limitations in CDN tracking.

Integration Usage

  • Shows usage data from assets surfaced via integrations (e.g., CMS or design tools).

  • If a request can’t be tied to a specific integration, it will be grouped under “Other”.

Filters: Version & Timeline

  • Filter usage stats by specific asset versions and custom timeframes to get more meaningful insights.

  • Filters are contextual, adapting based on your selections to prevent conflicts and ensure clarity.
