Install the Frontify WordPress integration

Connect Frontify to WordPress to access your brand assets directly in the Gutenberg editor.

Important: This integration is designed for the Gutenberg editor of WordPress. It may not work with other editors or third‑party page builders.

  1. Log in and Access Plugins

    1. Log in to your WordPress account with a user that has Admin rights.

    2. Navigate to Plugins in the left-hand sidebar.

    3. Click Upload Plugin. (See screenshot)

2. Upload the Plugin

  1. Drag and drop the plugin ZIP file (e.g., frontify-integration.0.0.1.zip) that you received from your CSM into the upload area, or click Choose File to select it manually.

  2. Click Install Plugin:

    1. Installation may take up to one minute.

    2. After installation, you’ll be automatically redirected to the Settings section.

3. Connect Connect to Frontify

  1. In the Settings section, click Login to Frontify.

  2. A pop‑up will appear asking for your Frontify credentials and the domain you want to connect.

  3. Approve the access request:

    1. The plugin will store the domain and tokens.

    2. The page will reload and display the available options.

4. Configure Integration Settings: Once connected, you can adjust the following settings to fit your workflow:

  1. Prioritize Frontify Tab

    1. On: The Frontify Finder opens automatically in the Media Library.

    2. Off: Access Frontify Finder by clicking the Frontify tab manually.

  2. Autoselect in Asset Chooser

    1. On: Assets you choose in Frontify are automatically pre‑selected in the WordPress Media Library.

  3. CDN Strategy

    1. Dynamic CDN: Always pulls the latest version of an asset.

    2. Static CDN: Links to the specific version you inserted at the time.

5. Finish and Start Using: Your Frontify WordPress plugin is now ready to use.

Next steps:

  1. Open the Media Library in Gutenberg.

  2. Switch to the Frontify tab to browse and insert your brand assets.
