This integration was developed by the DatoCMS dev community, in particular the following: https://www.mattwolgensinger.com/.
Please, before using the plugin, install it through the procedure here. |
DatoCMS is a headless content management system (CMS) designed to provide a flexible and efficient way to manage content for modern web and mobile applications. It offers a user-friendly interface for content creators and developers, allowing them to create, edit, and organize content independently from the front-end presentation. DatoCMS supports dynamic content delivery via APIs, making it easy to integrate with various frameworks and platforms.
The integration allows assets to be transferred between Frontify and DatoCMS. Its key features include:
Access Frontify from the DatoCMS Media environment as a new source of “Upload new Assets.”
Authentication gives users access only to their Frontify brands, libraries, projects, and assets for which they're authorized in Frontify.
Leverage the plugin to search and browse your Frontify assets and bring them to DatoCMS.
How do you get started with DatoCMS integration?
To use this integration, you need an existing Frontify enterprise account with a DAM module and a DatoCMS account.
There is nothing to set up in Frontify; you can install the Plugin directly from this link: https://www.datocms.com/marketplace/plugins/i/datocms-plugin-frontify-asset-source
After installing the plugin, you need to authorize it within Frontify. It uses the Frontify Authenticator widget and the public API to retrieve assets.
How to authorize the Plugin
To authorize the Frontify Plugin within Dato CMS, ensure you click the “Authorize” button that you find in your DatoCMS Configuration section.
You should also authorize the plugin within Frontify. Follow the procedure below to see whether it’s activated (it should be by default). However, if it’s not, toggle it on.
How to use DatoCMS Plugin?
Choose Frontify as a source within the Media Area and select Upload new Asset > Frontify
The Plugin will open and allow you to browse and search for assets
Organize and manage your uploaded assets within the Media Area of DatoCMS and add them to your content.
And that’s already it; thanks for reading this help article. For questions and improvements, ask your DatoCMS Account manager.
