Referencing Content

You've created content and want to reference it to another Style Guide or another part of the same one? Referencing enables you to do this.

Updated over a week ago

This is an Enterprise feature

Do you want to copy content from one Style Guide to another or within the same Style Guide? Then referencing the content is exactly what we recommend. The process is quite simple. In this article, I will explain how to proceed.

First, start the "Edit Mode".
When you hover over a block, you will see the referencing icon in the upper right corner of the block.

After clicking the referencing icon, it turns yellow as does the "Add Button" on the left side of the screen. This means that the content was copied to the clipboard.

Now, you can open another Style Guide or another part of the same Style Guide. The easiest way to do this is by duplicating the page.
Once you find the right position where you want to paste it, click on the yellow "Add Button".

The original content is now referenced to the position in the Style Guide.
A message will be shown.

The referenced content is now visible and any changes made in the original Style Guide will automatically be made in the other section also.

Please be aware that this feature is only part of our Enterprise offering.
