Color Kit Block

How to provide all your colors as a download package for sharing between applications

Updated over 2 years ago

The Color Kit Block lets you download all your color palettes previously defined in your Brand Guidelines. This way, you can export your brand colors to other tools and applications and keep your designs consistent across your ecosystem. Built using the new Brand SDK technology, now you have even more options to customize your block to be on-brand.

1. First, add the Color Block and define your colors in the Guidelines.

2. After that, add the Color Kit Block, and select the color palettes you want to download - making it easier to use and directly access across your other tools.

3. Click the Download button to download your color palettes in view or edit mode. Double-click the ZIP file and open the folder to start using your colors in the tool of your choice.

Your ZIP package includes four files:

  • colors.ase – Adobe Swatch Exchange file for Adobe products.

  • colors.less – LESS dynamic stylesheet language used to enhance standard CSS sheets with other modern features.

  • colors.oco – Open Color Format palette, associated with the Open Colors Tools, a software tool for macOS.

  • colors.scss – Syntactically Awesome Stylesheets syntax data, a style sheet language used to describe and style websites along with additional data.
