Natural Language Search makes it easier than ever to find the right asset in Frontify. Whether you know the exact term or just something close to it, Natural Language Search helps you get there faster.
What it does
Exact keyword search: As before, you can search for keywords in an asset’s title, description, metadata, or tags.
Similar meaning search: Assets can also be found when the description includes terms with a similar meaning to your search.
Combined results: Exact matches always appear first, followed by similar matches.
Examples:
Searching for dog can also return poodle.
Searching for roy can also return king.
Searching in one language can return results in another.
Why it’s useful
No need to remember exact tags: Find what you need even if you don’t know the precise keyword.
Supports multiple languages: Search across terms in different languages, reducing friction for global teams.
Faster access to content: Spend less time digging through folders or guessing metadata.
How to use it
You don’t need to change how you search. Just type your query into the search bar as usual. Natural Language Search works automatically in the background to bring you more complete results.
Important to know
Currently limited to descriptions: Semantic matches only apply to asset descriptions for now.
