Customizing your Media Library

How to modify the user interface of your Media Library

Updated over a week ago

To ensure that Frontify really becomes your brand’s cozy home, you can customize the Media Library to your needs. Read along to find out how.

1. Find the settings

Enter the frontend view of your Media Library, and switch to edit mode. A "Header Settings," “Search Settings” button, and a "Layout Settings" button will then appear on your page. Click the settings you want to change.

2. Adjust the layout of the Library

In the “Layout Settings,” you can access General settings, Assets, and Collections.

In General settings, you can see the width of the Library and viewer theme.

In Asset settings, you can choose the Gallery type, image spacing and maximum height, and asset display information.

In Collections settings, you can choose the collections overview display, the style, the preview type, the preview image type, and whether to include a border.

3. Customize your search bar and searchable images

You’re also able to configure your search bar by adjusting general properties like border width, and button color. You can also dive into details, changing the looks of your search bar borders, and the box shadow.
You can further define which assets you’d like to display. This way you can, for example, easily exclude expired assets from your Media Library.

4. Beautify your facets

You can also modify your facets if you wish. Change their width and define which color your facet checkboxes should have. It’s not indispensable, but why not customize your Media Library from A to Z?
