What does the Changelog show?
The changelog is a guidelines feature available on Enterprise plans. It tracks content added to a guideline — such as new images, text, and media — and is useful for seeing what's been published recently.
The changelog does not show:
Edits made within existing blocks
Deleted content
Changes to library documents
Who last edited a specific page
To open the changelog, go to the guideline, select the gear icon in the left-hand power bar, and select Changelog.
Note: Frontify does not have versioning. There is no way to view a previous version of a page or compare changes over time. The changelog shows what was added, not what changed — and edits made inside existing blocks are not recorded anywhere.
If something has been deleted, the changelog won't show it. Use the restore feature instead.
How to restore deleted blocks and sections
Deleted blocks, sections, and tabs within a guideline page can be restored for up to 90 days after deletion.
Just deleted something?
Press Cmd+Z (Mac) or Ctrl+Z (Windows), or select Undo in the toast notification that appears at the bottom of the screen.
Deleted something a while ago?
Use the Restore content feature:
Open the guideline page in edit mode.
In the action toolbar at the bottom of the screen, select the Restore content icon (clock icon).
A panel opens showing all blocks and sections deleted from that page in the last 90 days.
Select the item to restore. If it had a parent section that was also deleted, select Restore all to bring everything back together.
The content reappears in its original position.
