Sketch-Specific Features and Limitations

Features

External Content Panel (ExCoP)

The ExCoP is fully supported in Sketch, giving you visibility into asset usage, placement, file versions, and document structure.

For a detailed explanation of the external content panel, please see this help article.

Component and Style Awareness

Replacing an image in a Symbol Master will automatically update all linked instances across the document. Color fills using shared styles can also be updated with images via Add as Fill.

Limitations

Sketch File Uploads

Uploading sketch source files from Sketch to Frontify is not currently supported due to Sketch’s plugin architecture and local sandboxing.

Replace All

The Replace All function does not modify individual symbol instances—only the selected symbol or master. To replace all instances, update the symbol master image itself.
