As the way teams use Frontify evolves, we’re updating how we measure Monthly Active Users (MAU) to better reflect authenticated usage across the Frontify ecosystem.
This update takes effect on September 1, 2026.
Table of content
What’s changing?
From September 1, MAU will better reflect authenticated usage through experiences such as MCP-powered workflows, and supported integrations, alongside activity already measured today.
A user will continue to count only once per customer, per calendar month, regardless of how many qualifying Frontify experiences they use.
Why are we making this change?
The way teams work with Frontify is evolving.
Today, customers increasingly access Frontify through connected tools and AI-powered workflows, in addition to the web application. Our MAU definition is evolving with these usage patterns so that it provides a more complete representation of how customers use Frontify.
As Frontify MCP becomes available to all customers, teams can securely connect supported AI tools to Frontify and access approved Frontify content directly within their AI-powered workflows.
FAQs
Will my MAU increase?
That depends on how your organisation uses Frontify. For many customers, this update will have little or no impact. For other customers, the updated definition will result in a higher measured MAU. Your Customer success manager will be in touch directly if that is the case. No changes apply until then.
Are users counted more than once? No. A user counts once per customer, per calendar month, regardless of how many qualifying Frontify experiences they use.
Is this a new product capability? No. The MAU update changes how active usage is measured. MCP moving to General Availability is a separate product update. See more here.
Does this change how I use Frontify? No new setup is required for the MAU definition update. The change is to how authenticated usage is reflected in MAU.
