This integration lets social teams pull approved, on-brand assets from Frontify straight into Hootsuite, crop and size them for the channel, and send them into a post without leaving Hootsuite. The assets your audience sees are the ones your brand team approved.
It is designed for social media managers and content practitioners who publish through Hootsuite, and for the creators and brand teams who want Frontify to remain the single source of truth for assets while Hootsuite continues to power social publishing.
What this integration does
Once added and connected, the integration:
Adds the Frontify Selector to Hootsuite, so you can reach your assets while you work
Lets you browse and search approved Frontify assets across libraries, projects, and collections
Lets you crop and resize each asset into a channel-ready format before posting
Lets you select multiple assets at once and send them to a single post
Attaches your selection to the Hootsuite post, ready to caption, schedule, or publish
This removes the manual download and re-upload cycle and keeps every post starting from approved brand content.
How it works (in simple terms)
In Hootsuite, open the Frontify Selector.
Browse or search your Frontify assets and select the ones you need.
Crop and adjust each asset to the right format for the channel.
Review your selection, then send it to a post.
The assets are attached to a Hootsuite post, where you add a caption, choose the social account, and schedule or publish.
Example
A social manager is preparing a summer campaign post. In Hootsuite, they open the Frontify Selector, search their brand library, and select three approved images. They crop the first to 4:5 for Instagram, leave the others at their original ratio, and send all three to a post. The images appear in the Hootsuite composer, ready for a caption and scheduling.
Where setup happens
Setting up this integration involves two places:
Frontify, where your approved assets, libraries, projects, and collections live
Hootsuite, where you add the Frontify Selector and use it while composing
You connect your Frontify account from inside Hootsuite. Account connection and switching open in a popup window, so if the window does not appear, allow popups for the page.
What you need before setup
Hootsuite
A Hootsuite account with permission to add and use apps
During the beta, the app is not yet listed publicly in the Hootsuite App Directory. Your Frontify contact provides access.
Frontify
A Frontify account and domain, with access to the libraries you want to publish from
You sign in to your Frontify account when connecting. The assets available in Hootsuite reflect the connected Frontify account.
How to set up the integration
Step 1: Add the Frontify app to Hootsuite
During the beta, your Frontify contact provides access to the app. Once it is available in your Hootsuite account, open it to begin.
Step 2: Connect your Frontify account
Open the Frontify Selector in Hootsuite.
Sign in to your Frontify account when prompted.
If the sign-in or account-switching window does not open, allow popups for the page and try again.
How to use the integration
Open the Frontify Selector
In Hootsuite, go to the Content area and select the Frontify Selector tab, next to Content library.
Browse and select assets
Use the left panel to move between your Libraries and Projects, and switch between All assets and Collections.
Use the search field to find assets, and the folder scope option to browse the current folder and its subfolders.
Click an asset to select it. You can select several at once, or use Select all.
Click Choose to move your selection forward.
Crop and adjust
For each selected asset, the Crop & adjust step lets you:
Set an aspect ratio: Original, 16:9, 4:3, 4:5, Square, or Custom
Resize by width and height in pixels
Set the output format: Original, JPG, or PNG
Set the quality level
Click Apply changes to keep your adjustments, or Cancel to discard them.
Review and send to a post
Review your selection on the summary screen, which lists each asset with Edit and Remove options.
Click Send to post. Your assets are attached to a Hootsuite post.
Confirm the assets landed
Hootsuite does not tell the app whether an attachment was received, so after sending, check the post to confirm every asset is there. If any are missing, use Resend to send them again. This is most worth checking when you send several images at once.
Publish or schedule
Add your caption, choose the social account to publish to, then schedule the post for later or publish it now.

Once connected, approved assets are only a few clicks from any post. Your team stays focused on content and scheduling rather than manual file management, and every post starts from content your brand team has approved.
