Webflow integration for Frontify

Learn how to use your Frontify on-brand assets within your Webflow Designer content.

Updated over a month ago

The Frontify App for Webflow simplifies your Design and Content creation workflow by letting you access your Frontify brand assets from within the Webflow workspace and sites.

The App will allow you to search and navigate your Frontify Brands, Libraries and Projects as well as adding your assets from Frontify to your Webflow Designer.

The integration supports the following file types: jpeg, jpg, png, gif, svg, bmp, webp, avif.

Requirements

To set up this integration, you will need:

  • An existing Webflow account, and to be the Administrator for the Workspace.

  • An existing Frontify account to which the Webflow Administrator has access.

To use this integration, you will need:

  • An existing Webflow account and to be a user in the Workspace where the App has been installed.

  • An existing Frontify user account.

If you need an account, contact support@frontify.com for assistance. They will connect you with your company’s Frontify Administrator.

Installation

Step 1: Install And Configure

The Webflow Administrator should start the installation process by navigating to Webflow Marketplace, searching for Frontify under the Asset Management category, and clicking on “Install App.” Then, as shown in the screenshot below, choose the Workspace or Sites to install.

By installing it in the Workspace, it becomes available on all the Sites. Otherwise, select the Site you would want to make the App available.

Your Webflow users will need access to the Frontify backend Projects and Libraries where the assets are located, at least with a Viewer role, as shown below.

We recommend creating a Frontify User Group for all Webflow users for efficiency purposes. Add this Group to the relevant Projects and Libraries to make all assets there accessible.

Now in Webflow, once access is sorted while in Design mode, you will find the integration under the side navigation panel under Apps. Press Launch to trigger user authentication.

Enter your Frontify domain, including the secure path, such as https://monobrand.frontify.com/, and press Connect. Then, confirm that you “Allow Access.”

We provide a Walkthrough of the App features in the following video.

  • Browse your entire Frontify Brands, Libraries, and Projects folder structure - right in Webflow.

  • Search and filter for assets by titles, descriptions, tags, and metadata.

  • See asset details like title, description, tags, and licensing data within Webflow

  • Embed assets directly via Frontify’s CDN links.

  • Sync Frontify assets with Webflow assets. Note that Webflow’s API restricts the sync to files up to 4MB.

And that's already it. We hope you have found this article helpful. If any questions are left unanswered, don't hesitate to contact your Customer Success Manager or Support.
